I started PROJECT LIFE this 2012 because:

• I have tons of photos.  Ever since the digital camera age started I have stored them in my hard drive. i want to see them in print this time.  
• I cannot SCRAP everything into a layout i get stressed.  I cannot print everything into photobook because shipping is very expensive.
• I know my family will love this when they grow up.  It's one of the treasures i can give them.
• I am using my  Epson R2000  printer.  Printing photos at home give me the freedom to layout exactly what i want in my page.

This past few days I was busy transferring the old photos of our US Trip in 2002 from my magnetic album to Project Life page protectors because they were already worn out.   

We travelled from California - New York - Philadelphia - Washington D.C. - New Jersey - Chicago and Las Vegas.   My eldest son was only 5 years old and I didn't have a hard time taking his pictures.  He was enjoying and happily POSING for the camera unlike now that he is 14 years old.

my Europe Trip 1998

Arranging my album into Project Life pages made me sentimental and EMO.  

The first time i've been to Europe was in 1998, 5 months after giving birth to my eldest son.  In 1997 Our company was given the quota of selling 5,000 liters of Resigen by AgrEvo Company now BAYER.  The supplier informed us that if we hit the target they will give us a trip for two (2) to Europe all expense-paid plus pocket money.  That made me and my team work work work. and voila my DREAM CAME True.

AgrEvo the Supplier who gave me the Free Trip to Europe.  they are now known as BAYER.  This is me travelling in Germany for a pest control convention, 5 months after giving birth to my eldest Son.  I can't believe i left him.

so i booked our top salesman and me to Insight Travel.  Countries include Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, Italy, Netherland, Spain, Austria and Britain.

we joined the European Legend Tour of Insight which was 25 days because I want to see 9 countries.  This picture was Montserrat.  I came to know the Lady of Montserrat at my school at San Beda Alabang.

 I was grade 3 when I caught ‘the Sound of Music’ fever.  I watched with my neighbor Genny and Lulay.  As a child growing
 up, watching Julie Andrews prancing on the
green plains, with castles and lakes as the backdrop, I had no clue if that was for real till i saw the Swiss Alps and this place.

VENICE is the place i want to go back to.  I cannot believe that I will be going again to Italy this September 2012.  The trip is also free and given by another Supplier for hitting quota in 2011.

Photos were taken on May 31, 1998 and I just turned 31 years old.  It  was a very memorable day for I was atop the Swiss Alps to celebrate my special day.   the 2 photo were taken while riding the cable car

Terry Regan was our tour guide and was absolutely excellent. If I did another Insight tour I would definitely want him as the Tour Guide.

One of the most original items to take back home from Amsterdam are clogs, Holland's traditional wooden shoes.  While I couldn't bring myself to buy any of the above, I did love looking at  the colourful clogs all lined up, waiting to be taken to a far flung
corner of the globe.

Grateful

To have a friend and be a friend Is what makes life worthwhile. - Unknown 

When it comes to crafts and being creative, I believe I am an addict.  I am grateful that my hubby supports my love for scrapbooking. I am also grateful to my college friend who is a flight attendant.  She is the reason why i was able to buy and get products from other places in the world even if it was newly launched or it just came out of the market.  I am also grateful to my hubby's relative for bringing the goods to her. Travelling from Irvine California to Los Angeles Airport.

I love my CISS Printer

I learned about CISS Printer thru my friend Ellen Lacson 2 years ago and I have been a HAPPY user ever since. I converted all my laser printer in our office and our home to CISS because it's cheaper to buy a new CISS Printer than buying an original Laser printer replacement Ink.

Q. What is CISS?
A. CISS stands for Continuous Ink Supply System. It is the means of supplying a continuous flow of ink to the print head of the printer without the need to change cartridges.  

Q. What are the benefits of using CISS?
A. The main benefit of using CISS is the running cost of the printer. Now that the CISS itself has become very affordable, and buying ink in bulk has never been cheaper, the cost of the equivalent amount of ink in a cartridge is now pennies rather than pounds. Even compared to the cheapest compatible cartridges on the market, you are only paying a fraction of the cost.
 
Secondly, the convenience of never having to change the cartridges when they run dry - because they never run dry! This means you can carry on printing and refill the CISS at the same time. No need to stop in the middle of a long print run.

Q. How does it work?
A. Special ink cartridges are installed in the printer that holds a small amount of ink. These cartridges are connected via small silicon tubes to an ink reservoir tank. With ink in the reservoir tanks, all the air is removed between the tanks and the cartridges. As ink is drawn out of the cartridge by the printer, a vacuum is formed that automatically pulls more ink to the cartridge via the tubes. Therefore, all the time there is ink in the reservoir tank, ink will continue to flow to the cartridge as required by the printer.  

Q. What can go wrong?

A. Due to the simplistic nature of the system, very little can go wrong if just a few basic things are taken into consideration:

i.) All joints and seals in the system are completely airtight,
ii.) There must be no air present between the reservoir tank and the cartridge,
iii.) Ink must never be allowed to run dry, and
iv.) Air must be allowed to enter the reservoir tank ABOVE the level of the ink.

I am so excited to show you some pages of my album during my trip in Europe 1998.  I finished transferring my pictures from my MAGNETIC Album which is not acid free into a Project Life Page Protector!  I am on a roll and hope to get some more done this week cause it's a long weekend here in Manila.

I am busy scrapping after my meetings, watching movies with my family and out of town trips. Here is my lay-out for August -- our pictures last Summer at Baler and at the Pahiyas in Quezon 2010.

RECIPE: Strawberry Oatmeal Bars

I love this recipe.These bars are so yummy and easy to make. You can really use any flavor jam, so I used SMUCKERS strawberry jam that i bought at Makati Supermarket...delicious. I shared them with friends who also loved them and wanted me to make again.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a 9-by-13-inch rectangular pan.

Mix together the butter, flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.

Press half the oat mixture into the prepared pan.

Spread with the strawberry preserves

i used the whole bottle.... YUMMY

Sprinkle the other half of the oat mixture over the top and pat lightly. Bake until light brown, 30 to 40 minutes

Let cool completely

and then cut into squares or rectangles.  Serve Warm or Chilled.

Ingredients

• 3/4 bar salted butter, cut into pieces, plus more for greasing pan
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 1/2 cup oats
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• One 10 to 12-ounce jar strawberry preserves (I used Smucker for this recipe)

Directions
